About the interview
If you are a connoisseur of Nollywood anything, you will have come across Tope Oshin’s work. Whether it’s on Nigerian TV, the indie film scene or film festivals, you would probably have come across something Tope produced or directed. So needless to say, being a Film Festival programmer interested in Nigerian content, Tope was on my radar. We were in touch for years and communicated often. I knew the time would come where I would ask for an interview and the opportunity finally arose when I visited Lagos in the summer of 2018. We met her on the set of a soap she was shooting for Nigerian TV called Forbidden. Tope was one of the easiest people to interview. She is truly passionate about what she does, appears extremely focused and its evident that Tope is one of the shining stars of the Nigerian Film & TV Industry. Her amazing body of work proves this to be true!
